Flaky floor coatings are remarkably versatile and can be successfully applied to several types of substrates, provided each surface is correctly prepared.

Generic process flow:
-
Step 1 - Prepare substrate (grind concrete, acid wash, pressure wash, vacuum, fix damaged surface, levelling, strenghtening old concrete)

Step 2 - Waterproof substrate with water based epoxy. It can hold back 21kgs of hydrostatic pressure.

Step 3 - Apply decorative flakes

Step 4 - Vacuum up loose flakes. Apply top coats, providing a hard wearing surface.

It is always a multi days operation, and you have to add curing time to that.
